Tanya Sundberg

Tanya has a MLA in Environmental Planning from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in Human Ecology from the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine. She has worked in the planning and environmental planning field for over ten years, and is currently an Associate at Design, Community & Environment (DC&E) in Berkeley. At DC&E, Tanya has managed several comprehensive planning projects, including the Butte County, Vacaville, and Tracy General Plan Updates and the Tracy Sustainability Action Plan. Tanya has also managed a number of programmatic environmental reviews for planning documents, as well as project-level reviews, such as an Environmental Impact Report for the expansion of a retail area in downtown Walnut Creek.

Tanya works remotely from her home office in Trinity County. She has been happy to work on projects closer to her home, including an economic development mapping plan for Trinity County, and hopes to continue to take on more projects in the North State region. In her free time, Tanya enjoys hiking, biking, and running in the mountains around her home and cooking for family and friends.
