Nisha Chauhan is currently a Senior Associate at ESA in Oakland.
Nisha has been a member of AEP since 2006, and has ten years of environmental experience managing budgets, contract
compliance, and consultants for public and private clients.
Nisha has prepared CEQA/NEPA documents for a broad range of projects, including mixed use developments, general plans,
specific plans, flood protection, transportation corridors, schools, prison facilities, and statewide regulatory EIRs.
She has a B.A. in Environmental Studies from U.C. Santa Cruz (2000), and she also completed the Land Use and Environmental
Planning certificate program at U.C. Davis (2010).
In her spare time, Nisha enjoys exploring local cycling and hiking areas, dancing, camping, and inventing new recipes for
oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
